Turn those useless orange peels into tea in just 10 minutes. And get a boost of vitamin C.
Orange tea is a warm tea made with orange peels and orange juice. You can add spices and other teas like black or green tea or even rooibos tea.
The main ingredients of orange tea are oranges and honey.
Boil water. Add orange peels and spices. ( I used cinnamon and cardamom.)
Let it boil for 2-3 minutes until the color of the water changes. Then remove from heat.
Cover and let the tea steep for 2 minutes. Then add orange juice.
Add honey or any other sweetener. Reheat if needed.
1. Strain, and serve. Your classic orange tea is ready. If you want orange iced tea then chill it in the fridge. and add a few ice cubes as well.
You can also add any tea of your choice like green tea or black. You might also like Calendula tea, orange jam, and orange ice cream.
For Orange green tea: Add the green tea after boiling the orange peels for 2 minutes. Then steep as usual. Strain and serve.
For Orange Black Tea: Add the black tea after boiling the orange peels for 2 minutes. Then steep as usual. Strain and serve.
