3tablespoonbitter sweet chocolateshaving, chips, or chopped
For Spicy Tea ( use any 1)
½teaspoon cinnamon powderoptional
½ teaspoon cardamom powderoptional
Instructions
Whisk water, milk, cocoa powder and sugar in a pot until combined. Then bring it to boil.
Add tea powder or tea bags and boil for 5 minutes.
Add chocolate and let it melt.
Strain and serve hot.
For spiced chocolate tea
Also add cinnamom powder and/or cadamom powder in the first step.
Notes
Tea powder or teabags both will work. Use less tea powder for a lighter taste.
You can also substitute milk with non-dairy milk like almond or cashew milk.
Use raw cocoa powder for the best taste.
This is a pantry-friendly recipe so if you run out of chocolate, chocolate syrup would work too. Add 4 tablespoons of chocolate syrup and skip the brown sugar.
Iced chocolate tea: Chill the tea then blend with 2 cubes of ice to make it frothy. Enjoy.
