In summers, my favorite thing to have are juices because you get a variety of fruits to choose from. My top favorite summer juices are watermelon juice, peach juice, plum juice, and falsa juice, which is a classic.

Why you need to make it?

Mint lemonade is a refreshing and healthy drink that has many benefits. Not only is it a great way to stay hydrated on hot days, but it can also help with digestion and boost your mood.

The cool, minty flavor can stimulate your digestive system and relieve indigestion. Plus, mint is a good source of antioxidants, which can help protect your cells from damage.

So, next time you're feeling thirsty or need a pick-me-up, try a glass of mint lemonade and ditch the soda.

Ingredients

To make sweet and sour mint lemonade recipe. Look at the simple ingredients to make this drink.

Ingredients of mint lemonade
  • Fresh Lemons: Fresh lemons juice is ideal for making lemonade, but concentrated lemon juice can be a convenient alternative.
  • Sugar: You can use regular granulated sugar or brown sugar. If you prefer a sugar-free option, try stevia or honey.
  • Mint: You'll need a lot of fresh mint for this recipe, so get a big bunch! We'll use about 30-40 leaves. Blending the mint leaves will release their flavor and make the drink a pretty green color.

How to make it?

Making mint lemonade is super easy!

  1. Put all ingredients in the blender with one cup of water for 1 minute.
  2. Make sure the mint is well blended.
  3. Add remaining water and mix well.
  4. Now strain the juice to remove bigger mint particles. This straining step is optional. (If you don't strain the juice, mint will form a cloud on drink. It looks good but the drink is not smooth.)
  5. Pour juice in a large pitcher. Add ice, lemon slices and serve chilled.

Expert Tips

Storage: Store juice in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. You can also freeze the leftovers for up to 2 months.

Concentrate: Just blend sugar, lemon juice and mint in a blender. Store this concentrate in the freezer. Due to high sugar content this will not freeze and be semi frozen. This concentrate comes very handy and chilled for making small servings.

Variations

Fruit addition: You can add various fresh fruits to this Mint lemonade like plum, peach, strawberry, cherry, passion fruit and pomogranate juice. Just blend along for delicious treat. Check my strawberry lemonade recipe here.

Slushie: To make slushie make a concentrate of this drink without water. Then blend the concentrate with ice. The result would be slushie that is crowd pleaser.

If soda is your calling then mix some plain soda or lemon soda in the drink for a carbonated boost.

This was amazing! I did this for me and my family and they loved it so much!I did do some adjustments but even without them it was great! Some adjustments I made was add milk ( keeping the water but putting a less amount ) and remove the pepper and sometimes I would use lemons instead of lime and sometimes I would use both. But overall it was the best lemonade I’ve made

Thanks a lot for the feedback and lovely review. I'm pretty surprised at the addition of milk which is quite new to me in lemonade. But, I'd love to try myself.
